Amen. I didn't think I would like the rear end until I got one. I have grown to really like it. More so then the SB.

Yes, to each his own. I personally cannot stand a bobtail fender. There's only a few things in life I can't stomach - that includes cottage cheese, beets, and, yes, those bobtail fenders. Just something about'em that makes me look away everytime.

Back to the WG front end...so when you say the front end is "wider" - what part is wider exactly? I don't know much about'em (obviously) and have heard some say it's the fork thickness, others say its the rake, & yet others who've said it's the distance in between the forks...had someone call my street bob a "mid-glide" of sorts...someone please explain - thanks!

wide glide has more rake in the trees. I am unsure if the frame has more rake as well?
The tubes are the same size as ours, but spaced a bit wider apart.

Yours was referred to as a mid glide because the newer dyna has fatter tubes(49mm?) than older models, I am also unsure if they are a bit wider than the older model, but not as wide as the wide glide. this refers to the spacing between the tubes, and is in the trees as well.

Im sure those that know exactly will chime in...

The differences in tins, wheels, and other differences like seat height can easy be changed. But, the one thing that sets out in my mind is the difference in rake, 34 Degree on the WG where other dyans are at 29 degrees.

Not sure about older WGs but I know my '07 has 34* in the frame 2* in the trees = 36* rake.
