I put on my TT first.
I would say the TT gets rid of the sideways movement, while new shocks will give you better up and down control.
Oh, an for me the TT made my WG seem to hook up better on acceleration.
Nice bonus!

True Track does provide instructions.

I haven't changed my shocks, I know they're not fantastic, but they do the job. I'm not trying to turn the Fat Bob into a rocket, I just wanted that slop gone, and it's gone. I put a Super Brace on the front and that really makes me feel more confident of the front end in dips and pot holes, etc.

Both the positrac and True track are just as effective. The positrac front is smaller and overall less money. You can also buy the positrac front and rear separately, 1/2 list price. You won't need instructions for the front, its obvious how it goes on, maybe 10 minutes. They will fax instructions if they forget to put a sheet in the box. Positrac is COD only and I think currently out of stock. Call them to order and pay the UPS guy when he/she shows up with money order or bank check. In my neighborhood I just tape the check to the front door. True Track is a site sponsor and sometimes a group buy is organized.

I've been riding a 916 for 15 years and the Dyna chassis in-stability was obvious to me. It may not be obvious to others. The chassis stabilizer helps a lot, making riding more satisfying to me, but its still a heavy slow responding Harley. Not bad, just different. The 916's swing arm is bolted to the transmission just like the Dyna, but the engine is hard mounted to the frame.

if your changing out shocks for better handling I wouldn't waste my money on progressive, I'll be going with the cheaper Ohlins or maybe some Works...

I have no experience with progressive I'm just basing my opinions on some digging I've been doing lately
