is that johnson's pledge or any old lemon pledge. I used to use various house hold polishes on my bikes untill I read an article in a motor cycle mag about them containing chemicals that can over time do more damage than good. It was while ago but the artcle was called 'Leave them under the sink', went on about break down of powder coated paint on frames and corosion of bare metal's. Any one with long term use of lemon pledge with no problems.
On another note, dont you get small scratches when detaling a ridden bike thats still to clean to wash?

The bike looks good. For the reasons reddog mentions just to be on the safeside, I use autoglym, see http://www.autoglym.com/enGB/product...lectorBike.asp. For those living in UK Halfords carries them, http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/s...0151&langId=-1.

This is an old trick car dealers use to use on new cars, it looks great and takes a lot less time compared to actually waxing the vehicle.
It sure does work though.

I have read on this forum from many people about pledge and I tried it out the other day. I must say that I agree with what everyone says. The stuff is amazing. My tank looks amazing. It really brings out the deep color of it. I use the orange stuff and it really makes the bike shine. It does seem different than the pledge that my mother used to use. It doesn't seem to come out as thick as the old stuff. Works great and cheap.
