Wider tire dilemma
#11
Just to note that 200mm is not on a stock wheel. It is on an 18x5.5. i just wanted to clarify that clearance isn't a problem with the QD hardware and tucking the wires real good. Probably best if the signals are relocated as that gets the wires out of there all together.
That's right. other than my signals relocated and the QD hardware I did nothing else fender or wiring wise and the 200 fits. Proof is in the pics.

Thanks everybody for your input. I pulled the trigger on the SE 180 without any of the additional kits or parts the catalog says I need.
It'll be installed on the 30th. I've got a 800+ mile trip between now and then - hopefully the old one will hold up.
I'll post pics when its done!

The Pirelli Night Dragon 180/60-17 fits a 4.5" rim and with cramils comments on the 200 fitting I am much more confident that I won't have a problem fitting it to the bike.

Guys,I've got a set of tail-lite standoffs and also the bolts that come with the wide tire kit over in the classifieds. Not trying to spam you guys but some of the info in the thread might be useful if you're going with a wde tire.

Ah, okay, I take it back then. I've heard of stuffing a 200 inside the stock fender but never on the stock rim.
As for the detachable hardware and signal relocation kit, that does take up some of the slack in the wires and makes the wide tire kit even less necessary. However, if you can snug the wires out of the way, neither the relocation kit or the wide tire kit is necessary - that's all it is for.

wasnt that you that posted this yesterday? If it does fit I'll stand corrected. Still havent heard of any one who actually used this tire on a dyna. It would be nice to have another choice in rear tires on stock rims.
cramils 200 is on a 18x5.5 rim BTW.

I finally scrubbed off the rest of my rubber and I am going to try and get my Night Dragon mounted up tomorrow, I'll post about the fit as soon as I get it on, I hope it fits! I should take the wheels off now, but I am on the quote
