mikeurig, the gasket that comes with factory derby is an o-ring
the gasket you get for the 06 dyna will be a flat gasket
when you pull off your old derby cover you will see the o ring in a groove
your replacement will say" towards clutch side" and you will see outline of gasket
in orange attach it to the cover and put er back picture shows the one I got this one from jp cycle

LOL, What a visual.......your all heated up over some Harley babe and she says"not without a condom" so now you're looking for your #27 torx driver............all thumbs you finally get the cover off only to discover the condoms melted together.......damn....foiled again!!!!
