Default Leather Pro Saddlebags review (dialup warning pic heavy)

Didn't want to hijack the thread about bags so I thought I'd start a new post.
I just picked up some bags from LeatherPros for my WG and I am VERY happy with them. I did a lot of research and found that by the tme you are done with brackets, offsets, hardware etc...it is cheaper in the long run to go with a set made specifically for the Dyna. I have no idea why I waited so long to do this! They come right off with 2 cam levers and leave a clean look. They are hard bags covered in leather. Take a look lots of pics.....

****I have no affiliation with LeatherPros, just a very happy customer****

side view

1/4 shot

close up of molded around shocks....VERY clean look

inside cam release/lock down levers

back of bag docking ports

struts with bags removed

I'm digging them.
If your on the fence I hope this helps..

Those do look real good.

Price?

However, it sure looks like that cutout kills a good chunk of space inside. I'm not certain they would be roomy enough for my uses, as I pack my W&M bags pretty full.

They do look real good though!

$699 American. they are called 3100 because they will hold 31 cans of beverage. I have my rain gear an extra half helmet in the left side with room to spare. I am happy. I could pack for a couple of weeks but then again I am a retired Submariner! LOL.

Ha! Then I guess you have no problem!

I considered joining the Navy when I got out of college, and my recruiting officer was a submariner, a "missle tech" I think. I don't know how you guys do that stuff man, scares me to death!

Of course, I wanted to be a helicopter pilot, and he said the same, he didn't understand why anyone would want to fly

Very nice... salty but from the looks of them, probably worth it. Best looking bags for the wide glide I've seen.

These and the Boss bags are made by 2 borthers. These have a better IMHO docking system and about $100 cheaper. Anyways Gary (Leatherpros) makes them for Boss according to phonecon we had.

Thanks all for the comments..I am happy with them.

Duff.... How did you get the qr sissy bar side plates to work with the bags ? The Leather Pro web site says that their mounts wont work with the qr. But, it will work with the regular Dyna side mount plates ?

Those are nice looking bags. I have the Boss Bags, but the docking mechanism is completely different than LeatherPros. I think I like the way the LeatherPros attach to the docking studs better than the Boss Bags. It looks like you can just push the bag straight onto the studs and then cam it down. Can you lock the LeatherPros right to the bike?
