Default Slip on exhaust?

How does the the slip on pipes work on your motorcycle. I would like to know more about it. It seems like a cheaper way to add better sound and performance to your motorcycle.

Slips are fine for sound but you won't get performance boost until you change air cleaner and ad fuel management. And even then you may only get 6 or 7 hp + tq. But it is there and now that I have it I would not want to be without ! I'm spoiled!!

They are an easy upgrade. Back off two clamps, unbolt the support that connects the mufflers together and pull them off. That last part is the one that can make or break you. Some times they just don't want to move and others the just slide right off. If you just want the sound and aren't looking for more performane go for it.

I have Rush slip ons also and have gotten lots of complements on the deep rumbling sound. Easy to install and sound much better than stock...

Loosen the clamps, remove them stabilizer connecting bar at the bottom, work them off, wiggle back and forth up and down. I would suggest new clamps too, about $16.00 for the pair. Tighten them up after install as the OEM torque is worthless and won't completely seal. Add the AC and a tuner, you will feel and hear a huge difference. The bike will run and breath and cool the rear cylinder.

I have SE Slip ons with the SE air cleaner and SERT dyno. The bike runs fantastic.
