Default Made some Exhaust out of factory Exhaust

OK this I guess could be put in the under $50 thread if you have your own welder or a good friend has one. In all I have $30 in this pipe.

So A friend and I were thinking about what we could do with My FatBob this past Friday evening out in his shop and this is what we came up with.

Using a chopsaw we cut the factory pipe just a 1/2 inch past the split from one into two (just fyi I was told along with many others that the FatBob had a catalytic converter in that short solo pipe section, but it does not have one) we added in some resistance for backpresure. then took some 3 inch pipe about 14 inches long and crushed in the sides on one end so it mated to the solo pipe section slipped it over then welded it on. once we had that part we added a Tip to the end of the pipe an welded that on. I wish I had a befor and after sound clip but I do have pictures.

Old stock Pipe:

It has a GREAT Sound and It is manageable if i need to keep the DB's down BUT with a crack of the throttle I set off car alarms! If I am still home in the next few days if it stops raining I will get a video so you can hear it.

As I was reading this I was expecting some sort of Mickey Mouse job. But looking at the pics all I can say is WOW. If it sounds and performs as good as it looks, you done real good!
