What do you suggest on doing the jugs/heads.... the outer edge of the fins?

I was thinking of taping them up.... apply tape cut off with razor to fit!

Or should I just paint over them and come back later with thinner on a cloth and clean them off?

I was just out taping a few up and that's gonna be a pain! there's a lot of em and that painter tape don't stick well

I don't wanna end up with a 1/2 *** looking job..... once its done there's no turning back!!!

Naz

clean the fins wiht acitione first and the tape will stick much better. i would run a strait razor down the tape and tape each one... but that is me... either that or some pin stripe will work... going back and shving it down is not much easier but works as well

Man, more power to you for doing this. What a PITA but the outcome will be well worth it. On a side note your avatar is very distracting...

naz save the effort . Paint the fins then wipe clean with some brake clkeaner sprayed on a cloth. I tapped mine off first... Complete pita waste of time. so easy to wipe clean. Also don't use flat black.. use a semigloss. Will turn out more like stock with the semigloss. If you can clean the motor without ruining the stock textured finish, light coats will give you the texture black motor and no one will be able to tell that you painted it.
