Guys, when I told my dealer about my bike being much harsher than the 09',he said there where changes done to the 09.I was so releaved when he said he'd have my bike checked, like a dick I forgot to ask what they where.
Your dealer (like most) is full of crap. There were no "changes" in 09 that would make an 09 less "harsh" than an 08 (except for possibly the change in the AFR, but I doubt it.)
Don't the '09 models have 'fly by wire' throttles whereas the '08s don't. And what is the significance of the re-shaped air cleaner cover?
No...same cable arrangement on the throttle. I think the dealer's comment was related to the touring frame. Perhaps he's confused. Don't believe the Dyna frame is any different than recent models.

It's not. 09s have the same frame that was introduced with the 06 Dynas. And as you said, the throttle is by cable.

Gary, changes can be as small as different rubber compound for isolaters or slight mods to mounting position or anything, dosen't have to be major & visible. You could well be(probably are)right, but the guy who told me this, wasn't the fob off artist on the service desk, but the GM.he seems to be a good guy.
So what about the changed shape on the air cleaner cover. The '07 cleaner cover is symmetrical but the 09 is not. Is that just window-dressing?
My guess is that it's just a styling change. One way to check is to compare part numbers for the filter itself. In any case, it's a minor change at best.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it! Seems they've got this bike pretty dialed in overall right out of the box (TC96, 6-speed, etc). I wouldn't be surprised to see a dual disk front brake on future models. The brakes on this bike are it's weakest link in my opinion.
