I know you're putting it on a SB, but on my WG I had to ream out the rear tank holes to slide the tank back just a tad so the trees didn't hit. The pinch bolt hit once....only once.....then I fixed it! Maybe Jackyl changed the design somehow, I emailed him about it. Great product. Gently check clearance on the trees after you install it to make sure you don't ding you're tank when you crank it left or right.
