I'm not sure why you would use BBQ paint on the engine. You can get engine paint at any parts store that will stand up fine. I've painted intake manifolds on cars with engine paint and had plenty of fuel on them and never had a problem. About the only thing I've had problems with is brake fluid, but that stuff will take the paint off your firewall.

 

No particular reason for using BBQ paint. It was what my hand pulled off the shelf. If there was a can of flat engine paint, I might have bought that. They didnt have any flat, so I decided to have a barbecue

 

It would be sick to paint the motor another color other then black to make it really unique.

I seem to remember a guy on the forum that a while ago that did a red/black blend that looked sick.
