I Love my Fatbob! (mid-controls vs. forwards)
I have forwards on it now, I am toying with the idea of either switching to mids and adding highway pegs in the forwards place or just adding mid pegs only and keeping the controls where they are, sometimes my feet feel just a tad too far forward.................... I'm 5'10" by the way, or maybe I should get some Kurayakn pegs that fold down, so my foot can rest a little further back than stock forwards. I also think mid controls would be a little sportier for backroads!
P.S. Absolutely love the bike! I have 6k on it now.

I'm exactly 5'10 too.Either you sit really far back and have longer arms or you legs ar shorter than mine cause the forwards are just perfect forme. Only at excessively high speeds do I ever feel like my feet slip back, I mean 85+ mph. You may consider heel rests or floor boards of some type.

I made sure that mine came with the forward controls but I'm 6'6" tall. I even bought the Kury forward control extensions and love them.
But was also thinking about adding the mid pegs just to have another place to put my feet when on long rides.
One note........ if your bike came with forwards and you have stock exhaust, the mid pegs will not fit.
The stock exhaust on that Fat Bob that comes with mid pegs and controls has a "dimple" in the pipe where the mid peg bracket hooks on to the frame. The dealer confirmed this when I asked about ordering the mid peg brackets.
But since I change my exhaust, it should fit but I have not yet bought them.
Just wanted to let anyone know who was thinking about doing this with the stock exhaust.

I have a Fatbob that came stock with forwards, and added mid pegs without problems. I didn't have any clearance issues with stock headers and Rush slip-offs. I'm 6' 250 and have never felt comfortable using the mid pegs (I'd be glad to sell them if anyone's interested). I just feel all cramped up when I move my feet back. What really made a difference for me was the stirrups. They give lot's more support and let you move your foot position around quite a bit.
Hope you find a setup that works for you.
