I have the 25's, The information from "Bob" was that if you have the "8's" then the race download part number is 34401-06, which as we have discused is for the softail models. I would assume it should work just as well. I think I read on the forum that they changed in February and to look for the 06 V's 06a part number on the injector. Do a search and (eventually), you'll see shovelhead bob's info. The TFI was good but with the right download seems unnecessary. I have the RK 3909 K&N filter kit and the torque slip-ons.

Well, I went to Robbo's Harley Davidson here in Canberra and the mechanic Pete, confirmed that the download on my Bike is the wrong one. It's the Legal version which doesn't suit Hi flow AF and SE 2's.

I've had enough of the BS with downloads so to fix this problem I am going with the PC 3.

 

Great choice!! Do you know how will it work without using the O2 sensor eliminator?!

Well no I'm not sure how it works. Is there any reason why you wouldn't just use the eliminator as if there were 02 sensors on the bike (which of course there aren't). Net result is the same.

I'll find out though. Should happen next week.

 

I was just wondering if there could be some problem if the O2 sensor eliminator doesn not find any sensor to eliminate...

If I ride my bike (no O2 sensor) with a stage 1 download with O2 sensor, the bike says that there is a problem because the O2 sensor is not working (of course it's not working, it's not even installed!). Maybe if I run the PCIII with O2 sensor eliminator on a bike without any O2 sensor it could say that there is a problem... otherwise why should they create a O2 sensor eliminator if it would be easier just disconnecting the sensor?!?

The download is a different story, you shouldn't be running the same one that the US guys do for that reason. There was also a reason for running the softail download instead of the Dyna one (can't remember what it was though).

Anyway, that's the reason for going the PC3. It's too hard to work out WTF download to run and whether it's the right one or not.

 

The reason is that softails have no O2 sensor and the length of the exhaust is pretty much the same as dynas... so the download would be ok for international dynas without the O2 sensor...
