Question Scraped pipes

Took a turn - scraped my peg and stock "muffler". Can i polish it out? It's about the size of a dime.

If its on a stock pipe I wouldnt even worry about it, when I had my stock pipes on my St Bob they scraped all the time and it bothered the hell out of me..but the first day I noticed i scraped I looked and there were tons of other scratches "not by me" done from the previous owner..And if this happened once I'm sure it may happen again with those pipes *mufflers* Just get some new pipes LoL j.k
