Prolly wont find a cap nut that deep, but maybe you could find a spacer to drop on when the bags are off. Better yet, look for a bobbin shaped spacer that would hold a bungee cord.

Joe,
i have a set of Barebacks on mine. Funny thing is that what Maddghost is talking about is kinda like what the barebacks does. Interesting idea he has come up with!
i can take pics if you would like and email them to you, just let me know. i can not wait to see your ride with the bags on!!!!!

the site only allows 5 pics per post Enjoy!! I'm going to put this in the under 50$ers thread! The gold colored plate is what I removed from the inside of the fender.
BTW the bags hang down straight plum solid as a rock.I used blue thread locker instead of lock wshers to save space..

Easy Bracket Pics (thread)
I went with the easy brackets. Can put them on and off in seconds and they are lockable. Easy to install, only took about 45 mins from start to finish.
Here's a link to a previous thread.
Enjoy,
Christian

Joe - as long as your QD stuff matches up with your easy brackets, it's a pretty clean/easy system. My QD and easy brackets use different mounting posts and I'm still working and getting it all to work.
