350.00 for BOTH tires would be about right with labor

He did give me the phone number "of a guy" that can work on it for me.
Wonder if corporate knows about this policy? I'd give them a call and complain..that's b.s. if it's true.

My front tire was leaking through the sidewall. No way I would ride it. The "guy" named Fred came and got it with a trailer. Charged me $25 to pick it up. Not bad I think.

He is a young guy, nice to talk with. I think it will be okay with him. I really hate when my bike is broken. I hate even more when it is not here at home.

A harley dealer that won't work on a harley, wow, I find that odd. I think if that is the route I wanted to go and they turned me away, I would call corporate as well.

If this guy Fred works out I will consider it a favor by the Harley service dept. Harley wanted $480 for the two tires installed.

Picked the bike up today. The final bill was $513. $350 to $513??? He did more work though. He called me up this afternoon and said the bearings looked dry and asked if I wanted them cleaned and lubed. I said to do it. He ended up replacing one bearing, 2 seals, the front tube, and both tires. He put the 140 on the back. Looks good.

I wonder how much that would have cost at the Harley shop?

sounds about right actually. I will work about anything, with the right manual. I take wheels into a shop to have the tires mounted. I could change them, but I like to have a pro check the bearings. It is just me.

I doubt any of the "certified Harley techs" at my dealership have ever touched a 10 year old bike. I wouldnt want them to touch mine. He definately did you a favor and probably saved you money.
