Run For The Wall
I just got home from the Trail of Honor display at Harley Davidson Of Jackson Ms and was I impressed with the show, 687 bikes rolled in at noon on the ride from LA to DC for the Memorial Day Celebration. I had the chance to meet many veterans from Vietnam as well as many current active military personel and to watch the black hawk choppers work and paratroopers dive. They shut down I-20 and I-55 while the bikes came in from the west and while the skydivers did their show. The run will be leaving Jackson around 3pm today headed for DC so look for them if your on the way. The Ms Highway Patrol motor div will be leading them to the ALA state line where the Ala State Motor Patrol will take over.
If this display of veterans and does not make your chest stick out with PRIDE for our Country you have not rite to be enjoying the freedom you have today.

I rode with the group from Monroe, LA to Jackson, MS. It was an incredibly emotional event; a lot like my first visit to the Vietnam memorial. People were lined up on overpasses waving and cheering while displaying American and POW-MIA flags and banners. It was cool to ride with that many bikes, especially with the police escorts; we clipped along at a nice fast pace and the roar from that many bikes could be felt throughout your body.
Hopefully one day I'll be able to take off from work long enough to at least make the ride from my home to DC.
