D&D FatCat EVAL on a FXD
#11
Had my bike custom tuned a few weeks ago. The guy said the V&H BSS I have are not the best for making power. On the dyno sheet you can see it and now while riding it, I can feel the dip in tq around the 3-4k rpm range. His suggestion was the D&D Fat Cat for maximum power.
I guess it's the closest to equal length headers we can get? That seemed to be the most important thing he mentioned was the pipes being equal length for maximum power.

D&D FAT CAT with QB Eval
Just my two bits here.
Installed the D&D 2 into 1's from AMS Machine Shop last week. By the way, Steve is great to work with. Install and fit was snug but perfect. Did a 350 mile trip on the new D&D Fat Cat's with Quiet Baffle this past weekend.
First couple hundred miles they sounded a little less than expected. Then the last 150 miles over a mountain pass it seemed like these pipes and the Dyna Super Glide Custom really began to wake up and work together nicely. The sound is a very nice deep throaty sound and the seat of the pants response is very impressive throughout the RPM range. Definitely recommend D&D FAT CATS.
Have Stage 1 A/C with K&N and an XIED for AFM. Looked at the plugs after the trip and they may be just a smidgen on the lean side. No undesirable issues noted so far as AFM and back fire etc.

2009 FXDC, etc., etc., etc. and the list goes on.
