Looking for ideas/pics for "bobbed" rear fenders....
Hey guys,
I am thinking about maybe doing a bobbed rear fender on my '09 Fatbob. I really like the look of some of them on here but don't know if can bring myself to cutting up the OEM rear fender sheetmetal. I really like Bosken's bike but from the way it looks removing the fender completely requires removing the rear frame which isn't reversible without welding on the frame. I think I would like to have a short fender on there and still use a mustang solo seat. I guess I can move the OEM turn signals forward and install the kit that makes the turn signals light up when the brakes are engaged. Can anyone offer any advice/pics/ideas for a bobbed setup? I may try to get a streetbob fender and go cutting on it first. Thanks.

Found this on a French Harley Forum:

Quick translate. He bought a "tombstone" from Custom Chrome, and cut and fitted it to his specifications. The pics kind of explain themselves.
Note: he bought the tombstone 8.5 inch and found out it's a bit too small, he thinks the 9 inch might be a better fit.
Here is the link to the CC catalog: http://www.customchrome.net/icatalog/full.aspx?Page=939
hope this helps

Alot of foreign companies are reproducing the fatbob fender. Why aren't any companies hoping on the bandwagon. Some say the fatbob fender is ugly but I think the streetbob fender has a fugly shape to it and it sits way too high on the fatbob. Not my cup of tea, its alright but not a perfect fit. I like that pic but 400+ would mean 700 or 800 after shipping.....and then have to get it painted..
