Anyone riding a stock Harley and liking it?

There's a lot of "Yes, stock except..." and I'm in that category too (forwards, Sundowner, detachable backrest, but that's it).
There's stuff I'd like to customize, but I'm pretty committed to getting it paid off before I start down that road. I've only had it a few months, the 09FXDC was a great step up from my 07-883, and I'm still enjoying that upgrade plenty.

I love my bike and kept it completely stock except I changed to the Pipes to Short Shots and added a Screamin Eagle Heavy Breather, Vance and Hines Fuelpak, changed the bars and Handlebar Clamp, added 9" risers, added a 3" tank lift, changed the License Plate mount, Added Cat-Eye Mirrors, bought a chrome Battery Band, added Chrome Axle Covers, bought a Windvest Wind Shield, added a Pillow-Look Seat, bought a Backrest, Pad and Luggage Rack, Moved my front turn signals to the forks with Kury Clamps, bought short stalks for the rear signals, bought smoked signal lenses, Bought T-Bags for Trips, added a Custom Headlight, bought a smoked Laydown Taillight, Then added custom Pegs and shifter. Other than that she's TOTALLY STOCK and I am LUVIN' IT!!!

I started off stock like most people when they buy brand new. I loved the look of the bike (Deluxe) stock, but I needed a windshield and saddlebags, if you can call that a mod. I also felt an engine guard was an important addition. I could not stand my stock seat. I have owned many motorcycles and that seat was the most uncomfortable thing I ever sat on. It had to be done!! Lastly, I got tired of the sound of the stock pipes and added cycleshack slip-ons with air cleaner and super tuner. I love the sound of my bike now. So, long story short, with the best intentions, I was unable to keep my bike stock. I have no regrets.
I honestly don't think Harley-Davidson intended their bikes to remain stock. The stock emission standards alone prevent them from performing to their full potential. Why wouldn't you want to change that?
