Bike looks good and them old chevy's kick but!! And it's got the original denim before Harley even thought about it. You should paint the battery band to match the bike. I think it would add the equal contrast as the elec box cover on the other side.

That happened shortly after we moved in. I had a can of paint for plastic that I was going to use on my door panels. I punctured it and wrapped a towel around and hauled it out to the trash. On the way I managed to get it all over the bike, the riding mower and the wifes car. Took an hour to clean it all up.

 

That looks great , did you get emblems yet ?

 

No emblems yet, I just need to order them. The dealer is running 20% off special orders this month so I will do it soon. I think I will order the band for the battery box like yours. The stocker looks a little out of place.

 

I love that blue. Before i got the FXDF, i had an 06 kawi vn900 classic that was called ocean blue metallic or something like that. It the sun it really popped, nice dark blue. Makes me want to paint mine something other than red, but painting is not really in my skillset.

 

This was my first paint job. Was definately not my skill set but if you take your time and educate yourself first it minimizes the rooky mistakes. I still made my share but it was all fixable.
