Default Progressive 430 shocks, anyone used them?

http://www.progressivesuspension.com...ies/index.html

Wondering if anyone has used these. I've got some 440s that I've had to send back due to them leaking 4 times now. Progressive offered to give me a set of the 430s if I wanted. The 430s have a different valving design & materials that they think would not have any problems with leaking. I'd probably go with the contrast black ones.

I should have mentioned in the original post... how do you like them, how is the ride, & are you coming from stock shocks?

Thx.

They ride pretty good. A little stiffer than stock. I like them because when I have someone on back I can stiffen them up a little and they wont bottom out. I came from stock shocks that bottomed out sometime with two of us on. I love the way they dropped the rear end and tucked the tire way into the fender. It definetly looks lowered and more sleek. Seat height is almost the same as an 883L.

well if your getting them for free... get em... I certainly would not pay for another crappy progressive shock when there is so much better for the same $$.

+1 Rounder. If they're giving them to you, take 'em. Why not.

They are for free, straight swap, but I don't want to go to a shock that has lesser ride quality. The 440 shock is supposed to be their top of the line, the 430 isn't. I doubt I would really notice that much difference anyway though.

Who makes a better shock for a comparable price?
