Default Removed the Buckhorns and went to Mini Apes

Hey guys, I finally got those damn buckhorns off and put on the mini apes. I finished putting the new clutch cable on last night and let me just tell you. Make sure that you screw in the new clutch cable before putting the clutch cover back on (i did not.... and had to take the cover back off). I'm going to tackle the throttle cables and front brake today. I would appreciate any suggestions to make this a little easier.

I think you got the toughest cable out of the way first. Throttle/idle and brake line is no biggee.

Keep track of the tiny brass ferrels(sp?) when you do the throttle and idle cables. Also be careful with the brake light switch on the front brake lever. Put a piece of cardboard between the lever and the housing.

I like where your head's at. Buckhorns came off of mine this winter too. Mini apes are better looking and more comfortable! Repost with some pics when you're done!

LOL - Nice garage!

I really like the buckhorns, and don't plan on changing any time soon. Maybe I'll get to ride a buddy's Bob around a block sometime with apes and get an idea if I like it or not.
