A goog thing to remember. The motor is made out of aluminum, let it warm up slowly so as not to warp any thing.to help the clutch from clunking, try pulling it in for a few seconds to let tho oil get around all the plates. This has helped me in the past and hope it will help you too!

Hey fixxr that's a sharp ride there, There's a lot of peple around who don't understand about letting the different metals expand and just seem not to have a couple of minutes to do this.

Some may call this somewhat trivial but it's my bike. If you have a tach when you blip the throttle and it drops down to 1000 rpm's just momentarily then shift into first. Another trick, start in neutral and clutch in. This will help drain the oil off the clutch plates and reduce drag there. I hold the clutch in for about 30 seconds while the rpms stabilize, blip then shift. Some have tried shifting into 2nd then back down to 1st. Just have to learn the idiosyncrasies of your bike. I have managed to learn my trannies where I can shift with the clunks that are so H-D.
