Default HD Automatic Primary Chain Tensioner

I put the HD automatic primary chain tensioner on my bike a few weeks ago. It seemed like a good idea at the time - one less thing to do.

I notice some whine at idle, but not above that - making me think it's keeping the chain a bit too tight. Also, after I ride for a couple of hours, it seems the whine at idle is louder. After the bike cools, it's fine again.

I'm thinking of tearing it apart again, checking the tension, and seeing if there is something I can do to tweak the spring or something.

Anyone one have experience with this? Tips? Tricks? Ideas?

Mine keeps my chain very tight. I took mine in because I could hear my chain and the dealer pulled the cover and everything checked out. They did re-torque my comp nut while in there but all was happy. I was running redline MTL in the primary so I switched to a blend of 50/50 redline MTL & MT90 and that quieted down the primary chain nicely. It comes out to about a 40w oil.
