Like other said the manual says about 26oz but you will use less with the Progressive springs. Progressive recommends 5.5 inchs from the top of the tube and like Tweakin said you got to get the air out before final measurement.
My local Indy doesnt like the HD fork oil at all and had me go with BelRay 20 weight when I put my progressive springs in. I like it alot so far and isnt to stiff at all to me. It handles better and is smoother over bumps vs stock.

15w might stiffen it too much Joe. When I did my lowers (the screwed up ones) I added 20w and man was that stuff STIFF. I did go back to the HD type E which I believe to be 5w. I have my Ricors here with amsoil 10w. I may or may not get them installed this weekend.
If you get the HD type E, you need to buy 5 bottles because they sell it in pints. The 5th is just in case. You'd really only need 4. You never know when an "oooops" is gonna happen.

I have progressive standard length springs and had 20W from drag specialties.
Rode it set up that way for 8000 miles and finally decided to soften it up some.
I put SE fork oil in a couple of weeks ago and it seems to be a good compromise. Lost a lot of the harshness but still feels solid on the road.
I thought the OEM was too squishy.

not too stiff at all. The SE is a 15W oil, unless I am mistaken. I run lowered Progressive springs and BelRay 15w and it is ****. I weigh 180lbs.
