Parts guys at my dealer looked up the part numbers for me when I was looking at swapping out the emblems on my Fat Bob. I decided on something different, but the parts numbers are 62341-09 (left) and 62342-09 (right). Try ordering through Zanotti.

Just curious, what parts do they request a Vehicle Identification Number for? Are there parts on the bike that say "1 of xxx" ?

My guess is the only CVO part you have to actually own a CVO to order would be a CVO key.

Just checked my Dyna parts catalog, and they have stated "35th Anniversary Edition Super Glide restricted sale part" on tank badges, tank leather trim, and battery badge. Basically anything that has "35th Anniversary Edition" on it.

Screamin Eagle bikes probably have the same restrictions, any part that has "CVO Custom Vehicle Operations" on it.

The whole idea of the CVO models is to encourage customization of chrome parts. Emblems and paint are protected to insure the CVO owners have semi-unique bikes. Same goes for anniversary bikes

Most tards at the parts counter are idiots, it is mainly the special CVO paint that is not sold to "regular" bikes.

Your tard at your dealer was only doing what he was mentally capable. I had to reedumucate my local dealer tard in the same way. But now my local dealer (Roeders) in in recievership to their bank and Harley so no more ordering round here locally.

You should be able to buy everything but paint sets, or stuff that blatantly says CVO on it. Like a previous post said, find a guy with a CVO and buy him a case and have him order for you.

It's not the dealer, it's the MOCO.

I needed to replace the air cleaner trim ring on my anniversary Wide Glide, had to turn in the old one before they would order it. They get a $500 fine if they don't return the old part.

Not sure if it's the same for CVO labelled parts.

I was told all the painted tins, some badging, and some engine stuff. This was told to me by the dealer. I cant say this is fact but it sounds right.

Looks like your right, apparently they also control the limited production custom painted bikes. I had to give my VIN when I ordered a new tank, at the time I thought it was just for the correct paint codes.
