Well, I like the stock wheels, and with the state of my business, cheap/free mods are the order of the day.

Looks good. I'll have to do that on my 05 someday as well. That gap does bug me a bit, too.

looks so much better. I was only able to drop mine about a half inch. It looks better for now but I might do a 21" in the future. I also drilled the rivets out and rolled the fender to the rear about 2.5" and chopped about 5" off the bottom before I painted the tins.

Default Lowered front fender

Lowered mine about 3/8" so my SE Fork Brace would fit after installing chrome lowers and dust cap kit.

Looks good man.

I am going to have to lower mine now. How much tire clearance should you leave?

Subtle mod that makes a huge impact. That's one of those that people will notice but not be able to identify. "Somethings different but I can't quite put my finger on it".

I'd say 1/4" is plenty. I don't have that much room in a a couple of spots. I learned that the place to watch is around the mounting bracket on the edges of the tire rather than at the front or rear of the fender...that's where I had the rub after tightening it down (which straightened a curve built in the bracket). But the newer models like yours have a different looking bracket with twice as many holes, so it may be a different story.
