If you go with forwards, you might want to get stirrups (heel rests) ... especially if you have a concern about the 'reach' ... the stirrups will allow you to relax and take any stress or strain off your legs ....

+1 on stirrups (heel rests). I'm 5' 7" with 30" inseam and they helped me alot.

I agree with forwards too....but keep the rear pegs also. It helps to have the alternate leg position if you go on a long ride. You will get used to the forwards fast.

You have Highway pegs right? SHIFT AND BRAKE WITH YOUR HEELS!!!!! If you get Forwards I betchya you miss the mid pegs as they help on long rides....they give you alternate seating positions to ease back discomfort.

I'm a fan of the mids with highway pegs. I am somewhat taller and my feet feel better on the mids plus I like the control of my bike better.

I've tried the forwards, but those aren't for me.

My highway bars have 2 positions. On that moves the bars closer, but I use the position that lowers the bars.

I just don't like that "long" shift linkage. Just unsightly to me. (IMHO)
