Default Installed a Wimpshield w/pics - kudos to Memphis Shades

After having the wind about beat me to death this weekend I gave in and ordered a Memphis Shades Rio Grande. Installation was a snap and I really never should have put it on because now I'm not sure I will ever want to take it off. After some adjusting the height and tilt I ran it up to 75mph and it was smooth with little to no wind. There was just enough wind to let me know that I was on a bike but it was not beating me in the chest.

I was also impressed with the quality and fit of the Memphis Shades shield...very impressive for the $$

That's funny Nick....your bike is one of the only other ones I have seen like mine. The other ones I have found are 07's with the gloss finish instead of the denim....hard to believe they only made 2 of them in 08

The nice thing is I can have it back to solo with no shield in seconds...beautiful thing about dyna's. And to think that a day ago I was ready to trade her on a RK...shame on me.

One more pic....the second head on shot is blury and it wont let me edit it

Damn, you have my favorite stock paint job on the street bobs! Looks sick man.. absolutely leave it. The windshield looks awesome too. Has to be the best shield to put on a harley, if there ever is one. Nice ride man.

Yeah I don't ride long distance or highway speed without it.
Hints.
Make sure to tight screws back up when you take it off, I lost screws, and memphis sent me replacements for free.

wipe only with damp microfiber cloth to clean bugs off, I also use pillow case over it to store it or when I put bike cover on.

Looks good! Is it detacheable? If so, does it leave any hardware behind?

I've got the same shield and it's great on long rides.

OHRider, Looks good! I like the gradiant on your's! Fits the bike perfect!

I have the same one and yes, it is detachable. Takes almost 5 seconds to take it off. And another 5 to put it back on. Flip two latches and rock it forward and pull off. The mounts are on my bike in this pic. They aren't really bad looking. The windshield adjustment is in the brackets, so when you take the shield off, it goes back on in the exact same position every time!
