I have the Sears Craftsman set. They work fine and if you break one they replace it free.

My only problem with craftsman now is it seems like most of there replacment stuff is "new to you""

I took in a very nice lookin 1/2" drive rachet with some blown out teeth and got a POS lookin rachet from like the 80's... Sure it works fine, but i like to keep my tools looking nice and I don't think it's fair to do things that way... Just my 2 cents...

I break my snap on ratchet, i get a brand new snap on rachet...

Make sure you get a set with a T27 bit, you'll need it for your derby cover and elsewhere. The Craftsman basic 7pc set jumps from T25 to T30.

I bought a Great Neck 12 pcs. Star Bit Set part number 25974 for 24.99 one Sunday. I needed a 27 and they were fast and this was all they had at the time. Was always going to replace it someday but I have used the crap out of it now for about a year and with no issues.

Swapping Torx for allenheads is part of the game for me .. I don't go over board and remove bolts that are fine in place but every torx that comes out an allenhead goes back.. Personally though as far as the wrench manufacturer goes think Proto delivers the best for the price... Snap On is good but double what Proto wants...
