What are you using to clean the cast wheels on your Dynas?

I've been using Simple Green and a tooth brush. I soak the wheels with the Simple Green and let them sit for maybe 10 minutes. The tooth brush helps scrub the hard to get off stuff. I have some Mothers I am going to try next to see if it helps the stains. Seems the secret is to clean the wheels asap after a ride and there is much less chance of staining. I was reading that moisture in combination with brake dust will stain if not removed quickly.

The Mothers polish will work pretty good for getting a good shine and taking off the stains. Lots of work though. "Never Dull" works pretty good too as does HD metal polish. My wife has the aluminum wheels on her 06 LR. They are a pain to keep clean. She should have gone with the spoked wheels.

I just wash them with the same wash mixture and rag that I use on my tins. I've been contemplating taking them off the bike and polishing the bare Al up with some Mothers or brasso to get a nice mirror shine on the bare metal. I've noticed that once you polish stuff up really well once, it's easier to keep clean in the future.

I use quick detailer on all the painted stuff, forks, handle bars and exaust before every ride. About once a month i clean the motor, and wheels with simple green and then i polish the wheels with mothers mag wheel polish and wax everything thats painted or clear coated. I'm very close to pulling off my wheels and masking of the polished parts and painting the raw cast areas black like the Dyna lowrider has.
