Default Got heel rest or switchblades???

Hey guys and gals,

i made a set of heel rests this past weekend and they work great. But i think they may be a little long, they scrape a little in tight turns (not that i didnt expect it).

I was wondering if anyone with heel rests or kury switchblades could measure how far back the heel rest are, from the main peg. Center of main peg to center of heel rest... Im thinking i could take a bit off these and not have to worry about scraping so much...

Thanks in advance!

Mine scrape occasionally too. Then again, I've scraped all sorts of stuff on my bike so far, it's all good, I wear the scrapes like badges of honor

I might raise them up a notch and see if they're still comfy. Here's the pic you requested, mine are Kury ISO pegs with heel rests.

I have the Kury switchblades and they are 6 1/2" from the front of the peg to the rear of the foot rest.

thanks buckeye and ehc... thats exactly what im looking for!

mine are a good bit longer at 5" overall length of the bracket... so that makes it right around 4.5 center to center... i may cut them down an inch and see what they feel like.

ill get a pic of the finished product here in the next couple days... its raining so might be tonight!

cost about 25-30 for the pegs(could use 2 stock shifter pegs to go cheaper) and i had to 1/2" square bar stock lying around so the rest was just labor!
but here is a diagram...

How will you keep it from rotating from the weight of your heal?

the left side will not rotate... Its fixed. The right side, however, will rotate... Found this out when i tried to to shift my weight to pegs hitting a bumb... I think with the shorter heel rests, this will be less of an issue. Also will try and not put too much weight on the right side heel rest at least.

But this is something i am going to look into, you've got a good point!
