Looking for pictures of FXDB's with Memphis Del Rio Shields
After fighting the wind yesterday I have come to the conclusion that I am buying a windshield of some sort. I have limited it down to the Del Rio because I really like the fade look but I would like to see a few on bikes before I order.
Also, if you have one does it help with the pounding in the chest and helmet....my neck is killing me today from my head feeling like it was going to blow off my shoulders.
Thanks!!!!

You can get that faded tint look on any of their windshields. I don't have a Del Rio shield but I do have the Rio Grande. It's a little bigger (The Del Rio is 19" W x 15" H while the Rio Grande is 21" W x 19" H)
Anyways here's a pic of my bike with the Rio Grande windshield on it.
It greatly helps with the wind pressure on my chest and makes a long ride much more enjoyable. Although it looks better than most windshields on the bike (to me) I still prefer the look of the bike without it. It does go on for rides longer than 300 miles though.

I was looking at both the Del Rio and Rio Grande....I liked the looks of the Del just because it was lower and with the fade it seemed like it would blend in better....although it is still a windshield. I would hate to order the Del and realize that it really didn't solve my problem and find out it just pushes the wind square in my face.
I told myself I wouldn't go to one but after a 250 mile ride yesterday I'm thinking it is probably in my, and my families, best interest.

The cool thing is that the brackets are what costs so much and after you buy them you can swap to any Memphis Shades sport shield you want. Like I said I have the Rio Grande and if I decided I want to swap to the Del Rio I could do that by just buying the shield itself for $65.95 from Dennis Kirk and snapping it onto the brackets I already have on the bike.

The brackets are $116.95 from Dennis Kirk http://www.denniskirk.com/jsp/produc...=&skuId=271885
and the Rio Grande shield is $81.95 http://www.denniskirk.com/jsp/produc...=&skuId=230684

I got the El Paso this time around because my last shield was 19" high and I wanted to try a 17". It has cutouts on the lower corners for turn signal clearance and is narrower by a couple of inches.
Now I find myself squating lower in the seat because the wind hits me in the face, increasing the wind noise level, if I sit straight up.
19" was the best height for me and I will get a Rio Grande next time.

This thing is the *****. No hardware on the bike. Goes up or down about 6". On & off in about 8 seconds. I love it! I don't totally hate the look either.
