I went with the Cobra Speedsters, but when I did mine money was not a problem, I wanted proformance and that is what I got.

VANCE and HINES Big shots .Well worth the money .
I also added a POWER commander witch is highly recomended .
Unfortionatly there is no cheap route unless you can find them used ..

I bought a set of Cobra dragsters on ebay for under $200.00 new. An outfit in Canada had a bunch for sale. They were for 05 and older bikes so I had to tweek the mounting bracket a bit but that only took about 30 minutes.

I haven't had any probs or heard anything regarding smog regs on our bikes. I've had mine since 2006 and ditched the ugly cal emission fuel canister, remaped, pipes and AC and don't worry about it, but i have all my stock stuff just in case.
