Default Works Performance Black Trackers (Lighter Riders Opinions)

I am shopping around for new rear suspension for my '09 FXDB and was curious to hear opinions from riders that are around my weight since it seems that alot of shocks are not designed for riders under 180 lbs.

I weigh 160 lbs, but sometimes, during some seasons, go up to 170 and I was considering Works performance black trackers. Have heard good things about these from other forum members, and also like the look alot better than the equivalent Ohlins offering.

What I am curious to hear is any personal opinions from riders on a similar bike and of similar weight. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

(I also plan on doing the front as well and have decided to go with Ricor Intiminators for sure)

Or any opinions. Preferably from lighter riders, but simply any will do if noone on the "lighter side"..

Call Works performance and ask for Tom. They'll build the trackers for your weight and riding style. I just put a set on my dyna and I will NEVER go with another manufacturer!!
They are TOP NOTCH ALL THE WAY!!!

Agreed, Tom is the one to talk to. The works are a great shock. They will valve the shock and use the correct spring for your weight and riding style. Not regarded as being as good as Ohlin, worlds ahead of stock or progressive shocks.

Sounds like they tailor the shock to the specs of the rider from previous posts, other expensive shocks are simply "off the shelf" like progressive.
But maybe "Tom is the one to talk to." with regards to that too, LOL...

IMO if you are either lighter than normal or heavier it's important to buy shocks that are sprung for your weight and riding style( solo or two-up etc.) so you definetly don't want off the shelf shocks.

Sunny, still no actual feedback from any "lighter" riders. Guess none out there with this shock that has seen this post..

Dont mean to hijack your thread.....but new to the world of riding and had a quick related question. I'm running stock shocks on an '07 FXDL.....and i weigh 140 soaking wet. Can't really comment on my stock shocks cause i have nothing to compare it to (my first bike), but what can a person of my stature expect to gain by changing out my shocks? How will the ride differ? and is it worth it for someone as light as me?......Thanks and sorry again.
