Right on dude, I completely understand that! My problem is when I'm done buildin a hot rod I'm bored with it so I think I'll be sellin my 67 nova to build a 65 chevelle!

 

Ventura, your mods on the 21" wheel inspired to do the same to my bobster this past winter. Great MOD !

I Saved BIG $$$ by following your advice regarding buyin through Jireh cycles. I still can't believe the rim was only $39.99 and the Avon tire $139.00. Found a used hub and did the entire job for $350.00!

FYI just for fun I went to the stealer to inquire about the same mod and this is what they told me :

1. 21X 3.25 in rim not available. largest available width is 2.25" for a 21" rim
2. gave me the incorrect part number for the spokes ( gave me the part number for 21" rim with steel hub in stead of alluminmum hub.
2. HD quoted price for an after market 21" X 2.25" rim @ $400.00
3. Told me the Harley St. Bob Hub not sold separate so needed to order the entire street bob front wheel in ordr to get the hub @ $700.00
4. Only tire option offered was a metzler @ $350.00
5. Total estimated HD cost = $1,450 LOL

Don't feel bad...I once sold my guards red 1987 Porsche 944S to get a mini van after my second daughter was born....

I still regret it but it had to go......
