I know how you feel about your Porshe. I had a 1983 Black 944. What a nice little car. Like riding on rails in the turns.

I saved big $$$ by following your advice regarding buyin through jireh cycles. I still can't believe the rim was only $39.99 and the avon tire $139.00. Found a used hub and did the entire job for $350.00!
got any jireh part numbers?

Black Bart, that's a very apt description of the 944: "like riding on rails in the turns".

I, too, had a 944S; in Guards Red. It was a 1988 model. Besides being a fun car to drive on curvy roads, it was very practical. Being a naturally aspirated 4 cylinder engine it got very good gas mileage. In fact, at the time it was the largest displacement naturally aspirated 4 cylinder car engine in the world. Also, the fact it was a hatch back gave it a large easily accessible storage area.

I've had two vehicles in my life I wish I wouldn't have sold: 1)1988 Porsche 944S 2)1972 Norton Commando
