Got my new Sears Yellow jack yesterday for $159.00. It was marked down $20 starting yesterday, and got another $20 as a Craftsman Club Discount.

Got it home and opened it up and immediately noticed what looks like 2 added adapter plates which look like they would negate the need for the Dyna Lift Adapters.

There were also two ratcheting tie-down straps included. Are the adapter plates a new modification?

They're for ATVs and Dirt Bikes - Think ground clearance

 

The adapter plates need to be perpendicular to the jack.

 

Yeah I understand that...I was mainly curious as to whether the adapters in the pic were something new on the jacks, and if them being on there would mean I wouldn't need to have the HD dyna lift adapters, or 2x4s etc.

Gotcha...I took another look at the sticky thread that mud had with the pictures of a bike up on the jack. Guess I had my spatial reasoning all twisted

Mine came with those extra plates. They are supposed to be used on bikes or atvs that are higher off the ground. It just allows the jack to go higher since with the plates on it already starts out higher than it normally would
You will still need the blocks for the Dyna.

 

I think you're not picturing something right. The jack rolls under the bike from the side and those plates need to sit at a 90 degree angle to the jack (or run front to rear of the bike). Sorry if I'm not painting a clear picture.....

Funny how things happen. I've been looking for a jack for a couple of weeks, didn't see this one at Sears before, didn't really care for the wimpy looking scissor type. Saw this post and thought that jack looks heavy duty! Went online and found the local Sears had two left, just got back from picking one up myself. Thanks for the post. P.S., signed up for their credit card, got another 15 bucks off.
