Default Anyone have their neutral light go crazy?

It did it once last year and did it again yesterday. The neutral light is always on no matter what gear you are in or its flashing intermittantly.

Is it the neutral switch under the tranny that need replacing?

Have you washed your bike lately?Been riding in heavy rain?Sometimes water in the switch housing causes this, pull it apart, dry it and put it together again and try it out..first thing I'd do.

I almost rear-ended a car at a stop light once because I trusted the neutral light. Mine does the same thing but only once in a great while.

In addition to keeping on top of rides and techincal info, the flashing/solid neutral light is the priority reason for joining the forum. This helps! Same symptoms. Happens rarely. The post reply about "after washing the bike", happened to me, too. However, I have seen it when H20 was not a factor. Occasionally, I cover the bike when it's in the garage. I've bend over the 30+inch antenna and thought that an open or short might be occurring. I'm going to keep an eye on it.

Thanks for the heads up.
