Default rear turn signal question

Hello,I put in a rear turn signal relocation kit and was checking out my work when I noticed the rear turn signals are not always lighted like the front. They work properly when you use the turn signal for that side.So my question is are the rear turn signals always lit like the front.I don't have the module on the turn signals that make them work like brake lights.
I tried the search but after reading about 100 different post,I admit I gave up.
My scoot is an 05 FXDI.
Thanks,Alan

They don't function as running lights, as do the front turn signals. Only function as turn signals.

Unless you get a special module that various manufacturers make that allow they to function like that.

That's normal!!

No module rear turn sigs are off till they are used.

When you install the module you swap out with red lenses and the lights are running lights/brake lights and turn sigs and here's what they do!! Click video below!!
