Default Loose mirrors, fixes?

Hey ya'll,

my uncle just gave me a set of black mirrors off his fatbob. I find one mirror is loose on the stem. Has anyone had this problem before? How'd ya fix it? Do you think this is something harley would warranty?

Can i just jamp something small and unnoticable into the ball and socket area to make them tight?
