Battery Cover Band removed (holes plugged)

I was about to when I read mud's "rules", "not for catalog bought items, do it yourself". But nonetheless, under $5 too.. :-)

Why did you use the spray on truck bed liner instead of just matte black spray paint? I am thinking to doing this to mine this week.

Water?
Since everybody seems to notice little things like this, I just implinemted a real sweet fix to the holes in the battery cover issue after removing the aluminum band on my FXDB.
I plugged the holes with a set of rubber fender plugs that I got from my local dealer. Under $3, and looks perfect.
In case anyone is interested, part is:
Plug, Fender
Part # 10228
Takes a bit of twisting to get it in all the way since the plugs are a bit bigger than the holes, but if you armour all the part that goes in the hole, it will just twist in with minimal effort..
