Why did you use the spray on truck bed liner instead of just matte black spray paint? I am thinking to doing this to mine this week.

Bedliner spray is tough and leaves a wrinkle finish.

Another option is to dress it up a little; your HDForums ID, a favorite quote, Clan motto, etc. I went with the first option...

I plugged the holes with a set of rubber fender plugs that I got from my local dealer. Under $3, and looks perfect.

In case anyone is interested, part is:

Plug, Fender
Part # 10228

Takes a bit of twisting to get it in all the way since the plugs are a bit bigger than the holes, but if you armour all the part that goes in the hole, it will just twist in with minimal effort..
This is a fantastic mod. I just did the same thing and it looks awesome. Did you have any issue with rainwater getting in the front of the battery box where the rubber strap and clip are? The box band covered that hole before.

I used a nice big bolt/washer nut combo. I scuffed the washers and bolts then painted them w/ some rattle can bed liner that I had lying around.

I did mine in Flat Black to tie in the Bassani exhaust, looks pretty good IMO.
