Floorboards on my Bob..

Here's a link to a write up I did a while back: https://www.hdforums.com/forum/dyna-...na-photos.html ...
The Softail frame mounting points for the floorboard brackets have three holes vice two holes for mounting forward controls on the Dyna models. The holes are further apart on the Softail's triangular pattern and the angle from the upper mount is different than the Dyna.
For that reason (and the fact that I'm 6'4" tall and thought the +2" forward extension would be a good idea) I got a Cycle Vision “Go Forward” Softail Floorboard forward extension kit. As you can see, the forward extension kit is basically just a plate with 5 holes through it to line up with the three from the Softail bracket, and the frame … I drilled a sixth hole to line up with the Dyna frame (the lower rear hole is shared and bolts the bracket directly to the Dyna frame).
One can also do it without extending the floorboard brackets forward. I believe Rick Miller (Ackman1968) and another forum member Chris Stolp have both done it without the extension using a similar fabricated mounting adapter.
There are other ways to do it, but I am very satisfied with the outcome. Have probably about 10,000 miles on my bike since converting to floorboards and as Tony the Tiger would say: they're great!
