Default Question on Thunderheader

Guys running Thunderheaders are any of you using wrapping instead of the heat shields? If so how is the heat coming off with just wrap? I am want to end up with these pipes.

I'm not running wrap and it hasn't been warm enough for the heat coming off the exhaust to bother me. In fact I welcome the heat when riding in less than desirable temps.

In other threads I've read about wrap, you still get good amount of heat coming off the headers.

Enough heat to recommend the shields or does the wrap cover it? I don't ride in anything but pants so as long as its not going to burn me through my jeans i'd prefer the look of the wrap.

Wrap isn't really a replacement for heat shields. You won't set your pants on fire, but it still gets pretty hot.

I think most the guys having problems with heat are guys with forward controls? I've always had mids, my thunderheader with shields don't bother me & in the past I had a thunderheader that was wrapped & it didn't bother me either!
