Default Tachometer Options

Good Day!
Any ideas on adding a TACHOMETER to an '06 Street Bob? Either combo unit or separate mount?

Also, I've got the Mustang Vintage Wide with detachable Passenger pillion. Nice on long or short rides. Not as clean as the stripper seat, but does the job for now.

I have seen some in the HD catalog, real nice. chrome case. They are the mini tach combo with the mini speedo. It would look very sharp on the bob or SG. Only problem is the whole setup is like 5-600 bucks.

I just installed one on my FXDWG and the whole kit, which you need to buy each piece separately for ran about $250.00. That was for the tach itself, wiring harness, cup, and mounitng bracket. A little pricey but it worked the first time I fired it up with no problems. That price does not include labor which in my area is about $80.00 an hour. I did the install myself and it took me about 3-4 hours, but that may depend on what you need to take apart on your bike to hook up the 3 wires. I already had the tank off to relocate the front maker lights which made the job neater and easier. As they say your mileage may vary depending upon your level of wrenching abilites.

I put the Low Rider setup on mine.

I can take a close up of it but this pic shows it fairly well.

Cost me about $500.00 with me doing the labor.

Williec. I sure like what you have done with your tank, that old emblem and the low rider dash looks great. Is that a quick release style sissy bar, what brand.

You keep the speedo and add the panel, harness, tach and mounting hardware. I had to extend 12 wires on the
original harness about 8 " too.

The LR and the BOB are almost identical bikes.

It is an HD quick release with the tall HD sissy bar I have a mother well rack on it now but I have the
pasenger pillion and back rest pad if I have a rider.
I use the tall SBAR for my TBAG gear when I travel etc. works GREAT and looks retro

Hi WillieC, Is the lowrider tach and console something a dealer would/could install on a new scooter? I'm thinking about buying a new bob before leaving Baghdad and would really rather have a tach installed before I pick it up. Thanks
