Solo seat and Throw-over Saddlebags question?

Solo seat and Throw-over Saddlebags questions?
I am going to run throw-overs with my solo seat. What are some stabilizing options for the bags? My mustang pillion wont work with this set up unfortunately.
I have the side straps with easy connects to secure the bags from flapping etc...
1: What are my options for stabilizing the center of yoke?
Are there any after marked products available. I am considering using a piece of thick leather or similar material, attaching it to both seat nuts running the length of the fender, then interlacing it with the yoke? Similar in shape to a fender bib.
2:Where can I get extra nylon clip straps for the bags? The easy connect/disconnect type?
All suggestions appreciated.
Thanks,
Tom

More likely than not the yoke is going to ruin the paint on your fender no matter what you do.That said probably the smartest and simplest solution I've seen is putting the seat hold down bolt through the yoke.Back when I had bags I had a local leather shop put quick disconect clips on the straps.I think he charged me something like $20. A fender bib would probably be a good idea as well.

On my previous bike, I'd taken the yoke off, drilled out holes in the back of the bags. Removed the two bolts on my fender strut covers and replaced them with some all-thread, washers, spacers and nuts. I'd slip the bags over the exposed nub of thread and put a fender washer and wing nut on each. Cheap and quick "removable" bags. Still had a set of saddlebag guards mounted also to keep things out of the wheels, but didn't need any tie down straps. If the back side of your bags isn't thick enough, some people have gone to WalMart and picked up a cheap plastic cutting board and cut it down to stiffen up the back side of the bags.

I didn't want all the expensive stuff either and I even don't want to ride with the bags all the time.... I just wanna use them for longer trips when I need some stuff. Found last year those bags..they are actually for Sporties but they also fit on my Street Bob. They weren't very expensive and they are very easy to install and remove and the good thing you don't need anything else....

I'm installing a set of stainless fender trim strips, that will (hopefully) fit under my 2up seat when I put it on. So I can use my throw-overs until I get my leather bags built. They will work for underseat bumpers for the 2up, when I have the leather bags. I don't know that I would worry a whole lot about putting a whole bunch of straps on the throw overs.... I've got a pair Kuryakyn Gran's and they stay put pretty well, even when empty.
