Default What size socket is needed for front calibers

I want to drop some new pads in my bike and the caliber to fork nuts are some odd size... I'm thinking 13/32 12pt.

The one damn socket I don't have.

Am I correct?

Thx

The bolts holding the caliper to the fork are 10mm 12-point. The bolts holding the pads in are quarter-inch 12-point.

+1 10mm 12-point

Yes, your forks are made be Showa and they are Japanese. Harley has been doing this for years.

Sorry, but this is the next thing that comes up after the 10mm thing.

It seems to me that the bolts that are holding the pads on my bike are 10MM like the ones holding the caliper to the fork. The ones holding the rear pads on are 10MM as well.

I guess it had to happen.

1973 Harley starts using Japanese parts - Showa forks. Showa is a subsidiary of Honda.

My 1988 Honda CR250 had Showa forks, and Showa gas shock in the rear. It was great suspension even then. I don't mind Harley using it cause i know it's good.

I'm sure your bettter off with a 10mm 12 point wrench rather than a socket. it makes me wonder why forks can't be produced in america witht the same results, but I didn't knw they were jap. until now. There are other Jap. parts on harleys ignition, intake, electronic etc.....
