Even with the progressives, my Dyna rides a hell of a lot better then my 1200N ever did...

 

I remember reading somewhere that the optimum weight or the weight Harley used to set up suspension was 180 lbs. If your shocks are at the softest setting, have you checked the tire pressures? Check your owner's manual, mine states 30 psi in front and 36 psi in the rear tire, 40 psi with a passenger. An over inflated tire will tend to skip over road imperfections particularly with a light rider.

I am thinking about putting on progressive 812 on my lowrider they will be 11 inch does anybody have any information or experience with these shocks

Without pics...the other 9 bikes don't exist.

 

I am 180 and the shocks still seem too stiff on the lowest setting. The stock H-D shocks just have to high of a spring rate and probably too much damping, hard to tell with the high spring rate. I think if you're about 200/220 they will work ok. The one size fits all shock just does not work very well. H-D should sell different spring rates or dual rate spring sets for their stock shocks, then you could at least Tailor the spring rate better for yourself.

I have Ohlin s36E and did not pay near 700 bucks. You can get works street or black tracker for just over 400 bucks.

 

How much did you pay for them? Where to get?
I am sure they are a good shock, but the S36E isn't exactly Ohlins better shock either. The YSS TR/TRL Z-366 is looking like a really good shock for the price and the adjustability. I had works on the sporty and I was less than impressed, had very limited adjustability, better off with the 418s. For an inexpensive solution to the original post, I still think the 412 would work just fine, were talking some serious coin here for some of the better shocks. Tough decision either way. I would spend the money on the true track and intiminators, then reassess the rears if the 412s aren't working out. Just my 2 cents.
